1. Loran Scholars Foundation

Deadline: October 15, 2025

Prize Value: Valued over $100,00

Who is this prize for? Eligibility for high school students:

  • Be entering university for the first time in September 2026.
  • Present a minimum cumulative average of 85%.
  • Hold Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status.
  • Be born between January 1, 2004 and September 1, 2010.

From the Scholarship Donor’s Website: In partnership with universities, donors and volunteers across the country, we’re investing in the future of Canada. We offer the country’s largest and most comprehensive four-year undergraduate award to young Canadians on the basis of character, service and the promise of leadership.

2. The National Scholarship from The University of Toronto

Deadline: October 2025

Prize Value: $50,000

Who is this prize for? This is a scholarship for:

• an original and creative thinker

• committed to school and community

• a high achiever in academic and creative pursuits

• enthusiastic about learning and intellectual exploration

• a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or protected person

• currently in your final year of Canadian secondary school or first-year CEGEP

• intending to begin university the following academic year (or intending to take a gap year)

 

• a National Book Award nominee

From the Scholarship Provider’s Website: Students who have been nominated by their schools as National Book Award recipients may submit applications to the National Scholarship Program. The National Scholarship rewards original, creative and committed Canadian secondary school students. These are students who demonstrate superior academic performance, original and creative thought, and exceptional achievement in a broad context. They excel in academic pursuits, demonstrate enthusiasm for intellectual exploration and have a strong involvement in the lives of their schools and communities. Approximately fifteen students are selected as National Scholars (winners) and ten are named Arbor Scholars (runners-up).

3. AES Scholarships for 2025

Deadline: October 8, 2025

Prize Value: $500

Who is this prize for? This annual scholarship is available to all students attending a post-secondary institution. This includes current high school students who will be undergraduates in the upcoming academic year.

From the Scholarship Provider’s Website: Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.

4. CouponBirds “Help to Save” Scholarship

Deadline: October 10, 2025

Prize Value: Three are 2 prizes: First prize is $1,000 and second prize is $500

Who is this prize for? This is a scholarship for high school seniors and current college or university students in the United States and Canada. Students must attend an accredited university or college in the upcoming academic year.

From the Scholarship Provider’s Website: CouponBirds has launched the “Help to Save” scholarship for high school and college students who need help with their tuition fees. Firstly, this program requires the participants to upload a 2-3 minute video. Secondly, participants are required to post on Twitter or Facebook with information related to saving money with CouponBirds SmartCoupon Extension. Individuals with the best idea and response will be selected to give a presentation at our site. Last but not least, the person with the most creative idea will win the grand prize.

5. Steel Intern Scholarships

Deadline: October 6, 2025

Prize Value: Paid summer internship followed by a scholarship of $7,500

Who is this prize for? Students majoring in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, data science, safety or industrial hygiene programs. Applications are accepted from undergraduate students planning to attend graduate school. Applicant must commit to a paid summer internship at a North American steel-related company and must be a citizen of the United States, Canada or Mexico, and may need to relocate for the internship period.

From the Scholarship Provider’s Website: Each year, the AIST Foundation awards up to US$900,000 for scholarship and program grants to ensure the iron and steel industry of tomorrow will have a sufficient number of qualified professionals. By supporting the education of our next generation, we are building a long-term workforce that is well trained, skilled and dedicated to the needs of tomorrow’s steel industry.

6. Modern Métis Woman Scholarship

Deadline: October 31, 2025

Prize Value: Award varies

Who is this prize for? The scholarship opportunity requires that applicants meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a Canadian Citizen
  • Must attend a Canadian University
  • Must be enrolled full time (Min 3 courses per semester)
  • Must identify as a woman
  • Must Identify as Métis

From the Scholarship Provider’s Website: Modern Métis Woman has incorporated a scholarship opportunity that can further assist Métis identifying women that are, or will be, attending a University in Canada. The charity is trying to establish the need for further education within the unique identification of the Modern Métis Woman. Modern Métis Woman wants to emphasize the importance of empowered women. Carleigh Milburn, the founder of Modern Métis Woman has contributed grants to show her love and passion for women’s education. Modern Métis Woman has invested this capital from the founding member generating a return on investment for ongoing Canadian – undergraduate scholarships.

Modern Métis Women provides yearly University Scholarships to qualifying self-identified Métis women.

7. WEDO Canada National Scholarship Program

Deadline: October 12, 2025

Prize Value: $2,500

Who is this prize for? This scholarship is open to students who meet the following requirements:

• Completed at least 1 year of higher education in Entrepreneurship, Business or STEM at an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution.
• Who have an active business within the last 6 months and are able to show proof of their business.
• A Canadian Citizen or a Canadian Permanent Resident.
• The post-secondary institution will communicate the opportunity to students and provide access to complete an application.
• The selected women will receive a $2500 scholarship through their respective post-secondary institution from WEDO Canada.
• Maintained a minimum 3.0 GPA.

From the Scholarship Provider’s Website: WEDO Canada believes that to truly achieve our full economic potential, we need women to reach theirs. Focused and supportive education resources for existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs will put us on the right path to achieve this. As part of our mission, WEDO Canada will grant national scholarships to support a new generation of female entrepreneurs. Our goal is to educate, empower and support Future Women Entrepreneurs by granting one million dollars in scholarships to deserving female post-secondary students across Canada.

8. AmericanMuscle Automotive Scholarships

Deadline: October 15, 2025

Prize Value: Two awards of $2,500 each

Who is this prize for? Students must meet the following eligibility requirements:

•    Only students currently enrolled full-time in an American college, Canadian colleges, Automotive Engineering programs, Trade schools, technical institute, or high school seniors planning to attend a college or post-secondary institution are eligible to be awarded a scholarship through this program.
•    AmericanMuscle Student Scholarships are non-renewable, however, winning applicants may re-enter in future contests by writing and resubmitting a new essay. Only one essay per student, per semester is allowed.
•    Scholarships are restricted to those students pursuing an automotive degree or related field of study.

From the Scholarship Provider’s Website: We are offering 2 currently enrolled students or high school seniors who are pursuing post-secondary education an opportunity to be awarded $2,500 in tuition assistance towards their upcoming semester! This scholarship is ongoing and will be available for both the spring and fall semesters each year.

Those students who have exceptional drive and ambition should submit a 700-1500 word essay here telling us who you are and how you plan on using your automotive education to incite positive change and innovation within the custom car industry. 

9. Women in Wage Scholarship

Deadline: October 15, 2025

Prize Value: $1,000

Who is this prize for? To be eligible, a student must:

• Be a resident of Alberta, British Columbia or North West Territories. 

• Provide proof of a Grade 12 diploma or G.E.D. 

• Be accepted into a post-secondary institution taking a petroleum related program.

From the Scholarship Provider’s Website: In 1991, Imperial Oil Resources formed a Women n Wage Network to support, mentor and empower women working in a non-traditional career. The network is proud to sponsor an annual education award for women pursuing non-traditional careers in the petroleum industry.

10. The Harper B. Bull Scholarship Awards

Deadline: October 5, 2025

Prize Value: $2,000

Who is this prize for? To be eligible for this award, you must:

• Be enrolled in a post-secondary degree or diploma program during the 2025-2026 academic year;
• Be completing post-secondary studies in a field that relates broadly to the work of Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA). Examples of eligible programs include: Environmental Studies, Landscape Architecture, Archaeology, Museum Studies, Forestry, and Civil Engineering;
• Reside in or attend a post-secondary institution within TRCA’s jurisdiction.
