Deadline: July 1, 2024

Amount: $1,000

Who is this scholarship for? This scholarship is open to students who will be enrolled in a post-secondary program in the upcoming academic year. Specifically, applicants must be:

  • Undergraduate student;
  • College student;
  • Currently in a gap year;
  • A graduating high school student planning to enter an accredited post-secondary program in September 2024.

2. DCCI Scholarship for Canadian Students with Disabilities

Deadline: July 31, 2024

Amount: $1,000

Who is this scholarship for? This scholarship is offered to a Canadian high school senior with a documented disability. The student must pursue pursue a degree at an accredited Canadian institution in one of the following fields:

  • Health care;
  • Criminal justice;
  • Community & social services.

Deadline: July 31, 2024

Amount: $1,000

Who is this scholarship for? This scholarship is open to all students attending a university, college, or trade school. It is available to students currently in high school provided they are enrolled in a post-secondary program in the upcoming academic year.

Amount: $4,000

Who is this scholarship for? This award is open to all high school students who meet the following eligibility requirements: 

  1. Graduating from an Ontario high school or CEGEP with a minimum average of 80% among their top 6 Grade 12 or CEGEP marks;
  2. Enrolled full-time in a degree or diploma program at a recognized publicly funded Canadian university or college beginning Fall 2024; and
  3. Aspiring to make a difference in their communities.

Applications are evaluated based on academic standing, voluntary community involvement, leadership, character, aspiration to make a difference.

5. Dr. Kyle Hornby Annual Scholarship

Deadline: July 1, 2024

Amount: $500

Who is this scholarship for? This scholarship is for students pursuing a career in dentistry. Applicants must also meet the following criteria:

  1. The successful applicant must be enrolled in a pre-Graduate level program at a University or College in North America.
  2. The applicant must demonstrate an academic average above 3.7 over the course of their current pre-Graduate program.

From the Scholarship Donor: This one-time $500 award provides funding to a college or undergraduate university student interested in a future career in dentistry. The successful applicant can be interested in a career as a dentist, a dental hygienist, or as a dental assistant. This award will be available to applicants annually.

6. EZstorit.com Get Ahead Scholarship

Deadline: July 2024

Amount: $500

Who is this scholarship for? To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must:

  • Be enrolled at the time of application as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college, university or technical school.
  • Demonstrate successful completion of the previous year’s study by maintaining at least a 2.75 accumulated grade point average.

7. P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education: Grants for Women

Deadline: December 31, 2023

Amount: $100 to $500

Who is this scholarship for? Open to current college students (college, university, community college, trade school, two-year or four-year program, etc.). Applicants must provide proof of enrollment by means of a transcript, declaration of major, letter of intent to enroll, etc., along with an essay as outlined below, and must attend a school located in the United States or Canada.

8. The Phyliss F. McCarthy Scholarship for Excellence in Writing

Deadline: July 2024

Amount: $1,000

Who is this scholarship for? This scholarship is open to high school juniors and seniors (grades 11 and 12).

9. NCPACA Scholarship Program for Accountants

Deadline: July 2024

Amount: $5,000

Who is this scholarship for? To be eligible for an undergraduate scholarship, you must be:

• A declared accounting major (this must be indicated in your transcript) with a cumulative
and accounting Grade Point Average (GPA) of at least 3.0/4.0.
• A student who has satisfactorily completed at least 60 semester hours, or 90 quarter hours, or
equivalent college work, including at least twelve (12) semester hours (or equivalent) in
accounting; and
• Enrolled as full-time undergrad.

From the Scholarship Donor: NCPACA Scholarship for Accounting Students is available only to full-time undergraduate and graduate students at regionally accredited institutions. Awards are granted primarily based on merit (academic achievement); financial need is evaluated as a secondary criteria. 

10. Labroots Undergraduate Back-to-School Scholarship

Deadline: July 2024

Amount: $1,000

Who is this scholarship for? Applicants must be enrolled or accepted for an undergraduate degree (BA/BS) for the upcoming academic year at a recognized institution. The degree program/research area must be in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics field.

From the Scholarship Donor: This scholarship welcomes applicants enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program (BA, BS) to apply for funding to offset costs associated with academic pursuits in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) field.  

Textbooks and materials for undergraduate STEM programs can often be expensive, especially if they need to be purchased new. The Labroots Undergraduate Back to School scholarship will provide one incoming or current undergraduate student with $1000 to directly offset the costs of course textbooks and materials. The scholarship is merit-based and applicants should describe their qualifications in the application process.
